Gran Turismo 7 continues to expand its already impressive racing experience with a brand-new free content update that launches on August 27, 2025. This update, version 1.62, adds four cars, three new World Circuit events, and additional visual and menu features that further enhance the game’s realism and depth. With over 540 cars already available in the racing simulator, Polyphony Digital is once again proving its commitment to keeping the game fresh for fans more than three years after launch.

A Legacy of Growth

When Gran Turismo 7 released in March 2022, the game offered a vehicle roster of more than 420 cars, continuing the franchise’s long tradition of combining realistic driving physics, deep customization tools, and stunning visual presentation. Over the years, monthly and seasonal updates have steadily grown that number, cementing GT7 as one of the most content-rich racing sims on the market.

Four New Cars Join the Lineup

This latest update introduces four new vehicles, with three of them obtainable through the Brand Central hub:

  • 2026 Afeela 1 – a sleek, futuristic luxury car marking Afeela’s first production entry in the series.

  • 2025 Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept – an advanced electric hypercar revealed at Monterey Car Week.

  • Chevrolet Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo Concept – a bold vision of Corvette’s racing future, designed specifically for the GT series.

  • 2002 Renault Avantime 3.0 V6 24V – an unusual yet stylish mix of French coupe and minivan, offering Japanese-market power upgrades compared to the European version.

Together, these cars showcase both cutting-edge automotive innovation and nostalgic design.

New World Circuit Events and Scapes

The update also introduces three new events to challenge players’ driving skills:

  • European Sunday Cup 400 at Circuit de Sainte-Croix – B Reverse

  • Japanese 4WD Challenge 600 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta

  • World Touring Car 900 at the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps

Alongside the racing content, players can enjoy a new Tokyo Bay Scapes curation, offering a striking photo backdrop for car photography, and unlock the Japanese Racing Pioneers entry in the Extras Menu (Collector Level 33+).

Gran Turismo 7’s Future

Polyphony Digital shows no signs of slowing down with Gran Turismo 7, continuously adding new cars, events, and creative updates that balance realism with innovation. The August 2025 patch highlights the developer’s ongoing commitment to celebrating car culture while keeping the game fresh for its global community of racing fans.

With more vehicles and challenges on the horizon, Gran Turismo 7 continues to prove why it remains one of the most celebrated and enduring racing simulators of the modern era.
