Battlefield 6 Confirms No EA App Requirement for Steam Players

EA has officially confirmed that Battlefield 6 will allow Steam players to launch and play the game without the need to run the EA App in the background. This long-awaited change is a major win for PC gamers who have expressed frustration over the years about having to manage multiple launchers for a single game.

Historically, EA titles purchased on Steam required users to also launch the EA App (formerly Origin) alongside Steam, causing performance inconveniences and cluttering the gaming experience. With Battlefield 6, EA is finally listening to community feedback, ensuring a smoother, more streamlined launch experience for Steam players.
