Fortnite Festival Season 10 Leak Reveals Gorillaz as Featured Musical Artists

Fortnite has never been just about battle royale gameplay. Over the years, Epic Games’ cultural juggernaut has evolved into a hub for entertainment, fashion, and—most notably—music. From in-game emotes and cosmetic sets to virtual concerts that attract millions of players, music has become an inseparable part of the Fortnite experience. Now, according to fresh leaks, Gorillaz will headline Season 10 of Fortnite Festival, continuing the tradition of bringing global music icons into Epic’s ever-expanding metaverse.

The Growth of Music in Fortnite

When Fortnite first exploded in popularity back in 2017, music was only a small part of the experience—mainly through emotes synced to catchy beats. Everything changed in 2019, when Marshmello took over Pleasant Park in the game’s very first live concert. That event not only broke boundaries for digital entertainment but also set the stage for artists like Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, Eminem, and Lady Gaga to join the Fortnite legacy.

The addition of Fortnite Festival in late 2023 pushed the music angle even further. This permanent rhythm-based mode allows players to test their timing and reflexes by playing along to jam tracks—much like Guitar Hero. With its own seasonal progression system, called the Music Pass, Festival mode has quickly become a staple for players who enjoy music just as much as Fortnite’s competitive modes.

What the Leaks Reveal About Season 10

Reliable Fortnite leaker Fecooo_has recently uncovered game files hinting that Gorillaz will be the featured artists for Fortnite Festival Season 10. This means the virtual band—created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett—will take center stage in the Music Pass.

However, there’s a twist. Not every band member will be bundled into the pass itself. According to the leaks:

  • Murdoc Niccals and Russel Hobbs will be unlockable through the Season 10 Music Pass.

  • 2D and Noodle, on the other hand, will reportedly be sold separately in the Item Shop, likely arriving after the next shop rotation once the new season begins.

This approach mirrors how Epic has previously split artist-themed cosmetics between seasonal passes and the rotating store, ensuring both dedicated fans and casual players have multiple ways to collect their favorites.

When Does Fortnite Festival Season 10 Begin?

Epic Games has already confirmed that Fortnite Festival Season 10 kicks off on August 26, 2025. If the release follows the same format as earlier seasons, players can expect servers to go live around 9 AM ET, immediately after the rollout of patch v37.10.

The Music Pass will once again feature a mix of songs, cosmetics, instruments, and exclusive skins, with Gorillaz serving as the season’s marquee addition. Players can level up their pass across any Fortnite mode, meaning that grinding in battle royale, creative, or festival will all contribute to progression.

Why Gorillaz Makes Sense for Fortnite

Bringing Gorillaz into Fortnite Festival is more than just another crossover—it’s a natural fit. As a virtual band that has always embraced cutting-edge digital artistry, Gorillaz aligns perfectly with Fortnite’s futuristic and multimedia-driven universe. Their animated band members already blur the line between reality and fiction, making them ideal candidates for playable in-game characters.

The collaboration also highlights Epic’s commitment to bridging pop culture with gaming. With Gorillaz leading Season 10, Fortnite Festival continues to solidify its place as not just a side mode, but as a serious rhythm game that can stand alongside beloved titles like Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

Looking Ahead

While Gorillaz are confirmed through leaks, speculation continues about which artists could arrive in future seasons. Many fans had hoped for Daft Punk, especially after rumors of a virtual reunion surfaced earlier this year. Though that may not have materialized in Season 10, the door remains open for them—or other legendary acts—to headline Fortnite Festival down the line.

For now, all eyes are on August 26, when Fortnite Festival Season 10 officially begins. With Gorillaz stepping onto the digital stage, players can look forward to a unique mix of gameplay, music, and cultural crossover that only Fortnite can deliver.
