As the Halloween season approaches, Fortnite players are already buzzing with excitement thanks to a major leak that hints at what Epic Games has planned for October 2025. Every year, the game’s annual Fortnitemares event delivers new limited-time modes, eerie map changes, and exclusive themed cosmetics. Halloween has always been one of Fortnite’s most celebrated events, and the leaks suggest this year will be no exception.
In 2024, the Fortnitemares event introduced the return of Horde Rush mode and five new weapons, including one inspired by the Saw movie series’ infamous Billy the Puppet. Fans were also treated to a dozen new skins, including Leatherface, Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Marvel’s Mephisto. With such a strong lineup last year, expectations for 2025 are sky-high — and the new leak may have just confirmed a terrifyingly fun roster.
According to prominent Fortnite leaker Shiina, at least 11 brand-new skins are being prepared for this year’s Halloween celebration. Among the highlights are some of the most iconic horror figures ever created: Ghostface from Scream and Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th. In addition, Epic Games is reportedly planning to bring in the Scooby-Doo gang with four to five skins, including Scooby himself and fan-favorite characters like Shaggy and Velma.
The leak also points to cosmetics inspired by other dark and quirky franchises. A new skin based on the Steam horror title REPO is said to be in development, alongside classic monster-inspired designs like Mothman and a fearsome werewolf called Grim Hound (Dire Remix), dressed in chains, spikes, and a rugged jacket. On the sillier side, there’s also a menacing Butcher Pig skin and the debut of Eternal Peely, a spooky twist on the beloved banana mascot.
