Rumor Suggests Jason Voorhees Could Slash His Way Into Fortnite This Halloween

A new wave of Fortnite rumors is making the rounds, and this time it’s about one of horror’s most recognizable killers. According to a well-known Fortnite leaker, Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th franchise might be joining Epic Games’ battle royale as part of the upcoming Fortnitemares 2025 event, which traditionally drops in October around Halloween.

Fortnite recently closed out Chapter 6 Season 3, which leaned heavily into superhero themes with the arrival of Superman and The Fantastic Four. But the next season is already on the horizon—Chapter 6 Season 4 launches on August 7 under the title Shock ’N Awesome. This season will introduce a unique alien invasion concept, swapping typical extraterrestrials for massive bug-like creatures, drawing comparisons to Starship Troopers and Helldivers.

The Jason Voorhees rumor comes from Twitter user Wensoing, a reliable source for Fortnite leaks. They claim files related to Jason have been discovered in the game, including a medallion that may suggest his appearance as both a skin and an in-game boss. If true, this would continue Fortnite’s streak of horror-themed collaborations, which previously brought Saw, Halloween, and other horror icons to the island.

And Jason isn’t the only crossover fans can expect this season. James Gunn confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con that Peacemaker from DC Comics will arrive in Fortnite soon, with leaks hinting that his sidekick Vigilante may join him.

Another major reveal is a collaboration with the Power Rangers franchise. Players who unlock the battle pass can earn the Green Ranger skin, which comes with a White Ranger variant. Additional Rangers are expected to hit the Item Shop starting August 8.

With horror legends, superheroes, and nostalgic TV icons all lining up for Chapter 6 Season 4, Fortnite players are bracing for one of the most content-packed seasons yet.
