Sony has officially revealed the list of titles leaving PlayStation Plus in October 2025, giving subscribers just a few weeks to jump into them before they disappear from the rotating library. PlayStation Plus, which operates on a tiered system (Essential, Extra, and Premium), continues to evolve each month with new game arrivals, but that also means certain titles are cycled out to make room for fresh additions.

Over the past few months, PS Plus has introduced a mix of major AAA blockbusters and unique indie experiences. The September 2025 lineup stood out for horror fans, with atmospheric titles like Conscript and Crow Country joining the catalog in time for Halloween season. Crow Country, in particular, has been praised as a love letter to classic PlayStation-era horror, drawing inspiration from Silent Hill and Resident Evil. Alongside these spooky games, Persona 5 Tactica, The Invincible, and WWE 2K25 were also highlights of the month.

Unfortunately, while new games arrive, older ones must leave. On October 21, 2025, the following four games will be removed from the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers:

  • Battlefield 1 (PS4)

  • Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed (PS4, PS5)

  • Tour de France 2023 (PS4, PS5)

  • The Last Clockwinder (PS VR2)

Each of these games appeals to a different audience. Battlefield 1, first launched in 2016, is still considered one of the best modern entries in the franchise, though many players will be turning their attention to Battlefield 6, which arrives on October 10. Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed has been a multiplayer favorite, especially around Halloween, while Tour de France 2023 offers cycling fans a realistic simulation of the famous race. Meanwhile, VR enthusiasts may be most disappointed to see The Last Clockwinder leaving, as the award-nominated puzzle game was regarded as one of the best showcases for PlayStation VR2 since its launch.

The departure of these titles follows a trend, as September 2025 also saw several removals, including Road 96, UFC 5, Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir, and Pistol Whip. Fans were especially saddened by the removal of The Plucky Squire, a charming action-adventure from 2024 that mixed 2D storybook visuals with 3D exploration.

Looking ahead, subscribers can expect more content swaps as Sony continues to refine its PS Plus catalog. Meanwhile, a new PS5 system update rolled out in September 2025, allowing DualSense controllers to connect across multiple devices and introducing a “Power Saver” mode to reduce energy consumption.

For now, fans who haven’t yet experienced Battlefield 1, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Tour de France 2023, or The Last Clockwinder should make sure to play them before October 21.
