Genshin Impact Unveils New Character Aino for Version 6.0 Update

HoYoverse has officially revealed Aino, an inventive new character set to join Genshin Impact as part of the highly anticipated Version 6.0 update. This upcoming patch is shaping up to be the game’s most significant update of 2025, introducing the expansive Nod-Krai region along with major storyline developments and a fresh lineup of characters.

With Version 6.0 launching on September 10, Genshin Impact players are eagerly awaiting new content, including the introduction of prominent factions such as the Knights of Favonius, the Fatui, and the enigmatic Hexenzirkel. As anticipation builds, HoYoverse continues to tease characters who will play vital roles in Nod-Krai's Archon Quest, and Aino is the latest to be unveiled.

Aino: The Inventor from Nod-Krai

Aino, described as the "Parent of the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop," is poised to bring her mechanical ingenuity to Teyvat as a Hydro character. While specific gameplay mechanics for Aino have yet to be fully detailed, early teasers suggest her skills will revolve around inventive gadgetry, possibly offering unique support or sub-DPS capabilities in team compositions.

As part of Version 6.0’s character banner, Aino will debut alongside other newcomers, further expanding Genshin Impact's already diverse roster. HoYoverse has also confirmed the arrival of Lauma, a Dendro Catalyst wielder and Frostmoon Scions priest, in the same update. More character reveals are expected soon, as is typical when introducing a new region.

Nod-Krai Ushers in a New Era for Genshin Impact

Nod-Krai promises to be a game-changing addition, not just geographically, but narratively as well. The new region will mark the in-game debut of long-awaited characters like Klee's mother Alice and the Fatui Harbingers Columbina and Sandrone. Additionally, players will encounter Durin in human form and finally meet the elusive Knights of Favonius Grand Master Varka.

Meanwhile, players can still enjoy fresh content from Version 5.8, which introduced the "Sunspray Summer Resort" event and a new area, Easybreeze Summer Resort. The update also welcomed a new character, Ineffa, who brought the unique Lunar-Charged Elemental Reaction into the gameplay loop.
