After years of development setbacks, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 might finally have a firm release date — and it could be just in time for spooky season. A new listing from Filipino retailer Game Xtreme suggests the gothic horror RPG will arrive on October 21, 2025.
Although developer The Chinese Room and publisher Paradox Interactive have yet to confirm this date, the timing aligns with earlier statements that the sequel would launch in October. The retailer also notes that the date could change, but the proximity to Halloween makes the leak feel plausible.
Bloodlines 2 has been a long time coming. Originally announced in 2019 at GDC, the game was first expected to launch in early 2020. Since then, it has faced multiple delays, a change in developers, and even company restructuring. The Chinese Room took over the project in 2021, inheriting a challenging development cycle but eventually steering it toward completion.
Despite layoffs earlier this year during its time under Sumo Digital, The Chinese Room kept its October 2025 launch target. Now independent, the studio appears ready to deliver the long-awaited follow-up to 2004’s cult-classic Bloodlines.
Whether the sequel can meet fan expectations after such a prolonged wait remains to be seen, but if the leak proves accurate, players won’t have to wait much longer to sink their teeth into it.
