Developer Sloclap has released Patch 1.200.200 for Rematch on Steam Beta, addressing long-standing issues and improving gameplay mechanics. The multiplayer soccer action game, which launched to over a million players within 24 hours, has seen a sharp decline in its user base, losing around 85% of players in just over two months.

The new patch, scheduled for a full release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on August 18, focuses on enhancing the core gameplay loop rather than adding entirely new features. Sloclap has been working on fixing technical issues like tackles not registering correctly, goalkeepers’ saves being miscounted, and the ball teleporting unexpectedly. Achievements that previously failed to unlock have also been corrected, and the ball touch system has been reworked to make possession feel more natural.

Alongside gameplay fixes, Patch 1.200.200 introduces several quality-of-life improvements. Customization menus now properly reflect owned items, UI textures have been optimized, and new settings—like magnus sensitivity—have been added. Netcode improvements reduce lag during matches, and multiple crash issues, including ones that occurred during replays or freeplay, have been resolved. Goalkeeper animations have been enhanced to visibly show catches, and ball control has been refined to prevent unexpected warping during possession.

While this update mainly focuses on polishing the existing gameplay, Sloclap has confirmed that crossplay functionality is on the horizon, expected in a future update later in August. The studio has also shared a roadmap hinting at additional features and gameplay improvements for upcoming patches, ensuring players will have more content to look forward to.

Rematch Patch 1.200.200 Key Highlights:

  • Tackles & Netcode: Fixed tackle registration, improved rollback, and corrected issues where shots couldn’t be tackled.

  • Goalkeeper Updates: Enhanced animations, fixed goal validation errors, and ensured GK actions are consistent.

  • Ball Control: Reworked ball touch system to keep the ball near players’ feet; fixed teleporting issues.

  • Achievements & Stats: Corrected previously bugged achievements and updated stats display.

  • Customization & UI: Menus now reflect owned items, added new sensitivity settings, optimized UI textures, and improved workshop/HUD features.

  • Stability & Performance: Multiple crash fixes, reduced lag at match end, and optimized rendering for stadiums and VR.

  • Audio & Visual: Fixed UI sound issues, improved lighting during matches and celebrations, and adjusted ball/character animations.

Sloclap continues to listen to community feedback, prioritizing gameplay fixes before rolling out major new content. Fans can expect future patches to bring crossplay and more substantial gameplay changes, building on the foundation of this latest update.
