The team behind Delta Force has confirmed that the console versions of its tactical first-person shooter are set to receive major performance and graphical upgrades in upcoming updates. Having already revitalized the classic franchise on PC and mobile, TiMi Studio’s revival of Delta Force has now made a strong entry into the console market, and the developers are promising even bigger improvements ahead.
Delta Force’s Expansion to Consoles
Initially launched on PC and mobile, Delta Force gradually built a reputation for offering an intense, strategic shooter experience that set it apart from more casual, fast-paced FPS titles. In August 2025, the game finally arrived on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, significantly boosting its player base and making the free-to-play title more accessible than ever. The launch came only weeks after the debut of a new season, and early reception from console players has been encouraging.
Now, Team Jade—the development group within TiMi Studio responsible for Delta Force—has revealed that these console editions will soon become even more polished, with plans that include improvements to frame rates, input options, and visual fidelity.
Performance Mode and Graphical Upgrades
According to a recent Q&A session, Team Jade is preparing to roll out a substantial frame rate boost for all console versions of the game, including the Xbox Series S. The enhanced Performance Mode will allow players to enjoy smoother gameplay, which is especially important for a tactical shooter where precision and reaction time can make the difference between victory and defeat.
PlayStation 5 Pro users will also benefit from PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) support, a cutting-edge upscaling technology expected to improve graphical quality while maintaining stable performance. Industry leaks suggest that Sony is preparing to refine PSSR even further in 2026, which could make Delta Force one of the early titles to take full advantage of the hardware.
New Control Options for Console Players
In addition to visual and performance updates, Team Jade is also planning to expand input support on both PlayStation and Xbox. Players will soon have the option to connect a mouse and keyboard, though enabling this feature will automatically switch on crossplay with PC to preserve competitive balance. Gyro aiming is also on the roadmap for next year, which will give console players more precise control—something fans of shooters like Splatoon and Fortnite have long appreciated.
Other refinements include ongoing controller optimizations, smoother analog movement, and adjustments to aiming mechanics, all designed to make the game feel more natural on consoles.
Tackling Cheaters and Future Roadmap
Team Jade has also reiterated its commitment to maintaining a fair competitive environment. Over 1,400 accounts have already been banned for cheating, and the studio has promised to continue cracking down on exploiters as Delta Force’s player base expands across platforms.
While some of these improvements—such as the frame rate boost and graphical enhancements—are scheduled to arrive with the next seasonal update, other features like gyro aiming will not launch until 2026. No exact release timeline has been shared beyond that, but fans can expect more detailed announcements in the coming months.
Delta Force’s console launch has already brought new energy to the franchise, and with performance, visuals, and input support set to improve dramatically, the tactical shooter could cement itself as one of the most promising free-to-play FPS games in the years to come.
