The creators of Genshin Impact, HoYoverse, have officially announced a brand-new title called Petit Planet—a colorful, cozy cosmic life simulation game that blends creativity, social interaction, and everyday activities in a vibrant universe. The project was revealed alongside the news that players can already register for early testing, giving fans a chance to experience the game before its global launch on PC and mobile.

HoYoverse has built a strong reputation for crafting some of the most successful free-to-play games in the world. Genshin Impact alone has surpassed billions of dollars in revenue since its release, while spin-offs like Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero have expanded the company’s reach across genres. Now, with Petit Planet, the studio seems eager to tap into the booming life simulation market, offering something that feels both familiar and refreshingly new.
In Petit Planet, players will take charge of their own miniature worlds, customizing nearly every detail—from the color of the skies and the look of the beaches, to the plants, furniture, and homes scattered across the landscape. Much like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, the game will include activities such as farming, fishing, cooking, mining, and crafting. Players can also befriend quirky neighbors, each with unique personalities, while expanding their connections to other planets.
One of the standout features teased so far is the Galactic Bazaar, a shared social hub where players can gather, trade, and take part in mini-games together. The art direction leans into adorable, cartoony visuals, making Petit Planet accessible to younger gamers while still appealing to fans of relaxing, creativity-driven titles.
Beyond Petit Planet, HoYoverse has more in store. Just recently, the studio also announced Honkai: Nexus Anima, a monster-collecting adventure strategy game set in the same universe as Honkai: Star Rail. Although both titles lack firm release dates, closed testing for each project is already underway.
With its mix of charming visuals, accessible gameplay, and HoYoverse’s proven track record of supporting games with consistent updates, Petit Planet has the potential to carve out its own space in the life simulation genre. For fans of cozy adventures, the wait for more details has already begun.
