World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.5 Brings Legion Remix, Turbo-Boost, and Major UI Upgrades

Category: News Published on 11:35 AM, Saturday, October 4, 2025

Blizzard Entertainment has officially rolled out the patch notes for World of Warcraft’s massive 11.2.5 content update, bringing an impressive lineup of features, gameplay improvements, and event content ahead of the highly anticipated Midnight expansion. The update launches globally with the weekly reset on October 7, 2025, introducing the Legion Remix event, Turbo-Boost Season 3 upgrades, and a range of UI and accessibility enhancements that set the stage for WoW’s next major chapter.

While Patch 11.2.5 doesn’t advance the main War Within storyline, it serves as a crucial stepping stone toward Midnight and the introduction of Player Housing later this year on December 2.

Legion Remix Returns with New Rewards and Faster Leveling

At the center of Patch 11.2.5 is Legion Remix, a limited-time seasonal event that lets players relive the fan-favorite Legion expansion with accelerated progression, revamped rewards, and new gameplay twists.

Players can create Timerunner characters, experience Legion content from level 10 to 80, and collect Bronze currency to purchase exclusive mounts, transmogs, and pets. Blizzard has increased Bronze earnings significantly:

  • Bronze from caches and quests has been boosted across the board.

  • Infinite Research quests now reward 1,000 Bronze.

  • World and Emissary quests grant up to 4,000 Bronze each.

Best of all, Legion Remix is accessible to all subscribers, even those who haven’t purchased The War Within or Midnight. Classic players can join through the modern WoW client, while free accounts can try it up to level 20.

Turbo-Boost Season 3: Faster Progression and New Rewards

Season 3’s Turbo-Boost system is getting a major overhaul in this update. Starting October 7, Heroic and Myth upgrade tracks will increase from six to eight levels, and crafted items can now be recrafted using the new Augmentation Matrix for extra power.

Then, beginning October 21, two weeks after the patch launch, the cap for Crests will be lifted, Valorstones become Warbound for the rest of the season, and Mythic+ loot drop rates are doubled. Players will also be able to earn Ethereal Voidsplinters in dungeons and PvP to fuel the Catalyst system.

To top it off, Blizzard is introducing new Turbo-Boost quests:

  • “Trade Must Flow” – a one-time quest rewarding three Puzzling Cartel Chips.

  • “Infinite Growth” – a weekly quest granting one Chip per completion.

Players can exchange these Chips for Season 3 dungeon weapons, trinkets, and special cantrip items at Dornogal via the new NPC vendors Fixer So’kir and Fixer So’tho.

Major UI and Accessibility Improvements

Patch 11.2.5 introduces a wide array of interface and usability upgrades designed to make gameplay smoother and more customizable than ever before.

Cooldown Manager Overhaul:
A brand-new frame now lets players categorize and prioritize their spell cooldowns as Essential, Utility, or Hidden by Default. Buffs can also be displayed as icons or bars. The Cooldown Manager is accessible via Edit Mode → Advanced Options.

Recent Allies Feature:
A new “Recent Allies” tab has been added to the Social Frame, tracking players you’ve recently grouped or interacted with. You can toggle visibility or hide your own location through the Social settings menu.

Additional Enhancements:

  • Improved visibility for frames in Edit Mode.

  • Spellbook search bar now supports Assisted Rotation spell suggestions.

  • Group Finder and reporting tools fixed for addon compatibility.

  • The Move Pad now supports Press and Hold functionality for more fluid movement.

These refinements demonstrate Blizzard’s continued focus on player comfort and customization, especially for accessibility and UI clarity.

Gameplay Adjustments and Item Balancing

The D.I.S.C. Belt—a popular item from Patch 11.1.7—has received a 20% reduction to its damage and stat bonuses for abilities including Charged Bolts, Critical Chain, and Static Charge. Additionally, the Mark of the Twilight Oath item can now be safely deleted to free inventory space.

Delves have also been enhanced, granting:

  • Increased Delver’s Journey progress and Crest rewards.

  • New weekly Companion Experience sources.

  • Tier 9+ delves dropping Champion 1/8 Warbound gear.

Looking Ahead to Patch 11.2.7 and Beyond

While players are just getting their hands on 11.2.5, attention is already shifting to Patch 11.2.7, set to release on December 2, 2025. That update will include the long-awaited Player Housing feature, additional UI improvements, and narrative updates bridging The War Within and Midnight.

Patch 11.2.5 lays the groundwork for what could be one of the most transformative eras in World of Warcraft’s history. Between nostalgia-fueled events like Legion Remix, smarter UI tools, and robust seasonal systems, Azeroth is feeling more alive and player-driven than ever before.
