Sucker Punch Productions has rolled out Update 1.10 for Ghost of Yotei, the studio’s latest open-world samurai adventure. This new update delivers a comprehensive list of fixes and improvements, continuing the developer’s strong post-launch support for the critically acclaimed title. Since its release on October 2, the game has received a steady series of patches aimed at polishing gameplay, fixing performance hiccups, and resolving rare but disruptive mission bugs.
Despite launching to widespread praise and selling over two million copies within just three days, Sucker Punch has remained committed to refining every detail of Ghost of Yotei. Update 1.10 continues this effort by addressing player-reported issues, enhancing stability, and optimizing overall performance on PlayStation 5.
Smoother Performance and Fewer Crashes
Among the key highlights of this update is the resolution of several rare crash scenarios. These include problems triggered during missions like Poison and Lies when ray tracing is enabled, as well as various mission-specific situations where backtracking or interacting with NPCs could cause the game to freeze or crash. Players should now experience smoother frame rates and improved reliability, particularly in large-scale battles and high-detail environments.
Mission Fixes Across the Board
Update 1.10 also focuses heavily on mission stability, tackling a long list of bugs that could previously block progress or cause unexpected behavior. Several quests—including Fighting Fire with Fire, The Way of the Kusarigama, and The Tale of the Oni—had potential blockers that could prevent completion under specific conditions. These have now been fully addressed.
Other fixes target branching objectives and save system conflicts, such as those found in A Brokered Trust or Higashi Lumberyard, where reloading the game at the wrong time could leave the mission in an unfinished state. In total, over a dozen separate mission-breaking bugs were resolved, making this one of the most extensive post-launch updates so far.
One particularly notable correction involves the Digital Deluxe Edition of Ghost of Yotei, where players were unable to unlock the exclusive Black Ghost Mask after finishing To Catch a Spider. This reward will now properly unlock for all eligible players.
Environment and Visual Improvements
Beyond gameplay tweaks, Sucker Punch also made adjustments to environmental assets. In The Kitsune’s Fate, a placeholder object that accidentally remained on a main path has been replaced with its intended visual asset. These small polish details contribute to maintaining the cinematic, atmospheric quality that Ghost of Yotei is known for.
Looking Ahead – Legends Multiplayer Returns
While Update 1.10 is focused on stability, Sucker Punch also teased plans for the future. The studio confirmed that the beloved Legends multiplayer mode, first introduced in Ghost of Tsushima, will return in Ghost of Yotei as a free update in 2026. The mode will feature two co-op story missions and four survival challenges, allowing players to take on demonic versions of the Yotei Six in cooperative play. Players will be able to choose from four unique character classes, each offering distinct combat abilities and progression paths.
A Promising Future for Ghost of Yotei
Sucker Punch’s commitment to consistent updates shows the developer’s dedication to player experience. Rather than resting on early success, the studio continues to fine-tune the game, ensuring that Ghost of Yotei remains one of the most polished and immersive action-adventure titles on PlayStation 5.
With Update 1.10 now live and the promise of major post-launch content ahead, Ghost of Yotei looks poised to maintain its place as one of the defining open-world experiences of this generation.
