While the company has not shared a public release date or even a launch year, insiders and developers have revealed that an internal schedule is already in place, and progress on the game is said to be moving forward smoothly.

The reimagined trilogy began in 2020 with the launch of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which reintroduced players to Midgar with expanded storytelling, real-time combat, and cinematic presentation.
