World of Warcraft fans may soon return to the chaotic battles of the Burning Legion, as the Public Test Realm (PTR) for Patch 11.2.5 has revealed tentative dates for the highly anticipated Legion Remix event. If these dates hold true, players will have just over three months to experience the full lineup of remixed content, with new phases arriving roughly every two weeks.
Legion Remix promises to bring a fresh spin on the beloved expansion, featuring remixed Artifact Weapons, a Heroic World Tier system reminiscent of Diablo 4, and a host of returning and new collectibles. Blizzard has not confirmed the official release dates, but the PTR calendar suggests the event could begin October 7, 2025, and run until January 19, 2026, offering players a substantial window to tackle new challenges and revisit fan-favorite raids and dungeons.
Tentative Phase Schedule
-
Phase 1: Skies of Fire (October 7) – Launch content, main campaign, and Emerald Nightmare raid
-
Phase 2: Rise of the Nightfallen (October 21) – Insurrection campaign, new World Quests, Return to Karazhan, Nighthold, and Trial of Valor raids
-
Phase 3: Legionfall (November 4) – Broken Shore zone, Legion Assaults, Cathedral of Eternal Night dungeon, Tomb of Sargeras raid
-
Phase 4: Argus Eternal (November 18) – Argus zones, campaign, Seat of the Triumvirate dungeon, Antorus, the Burning Throne raid
-
Phase 5: Infinite Echoes (December 2) – Timeline collapse and final phase activities
-
End of Legion Remix (January 19, 2026)
Unlike the previous Mists of Pandaria Remix, Legion Remix will unfold in distinct phases, each reflecting the patch progression of the original expansion. This structure allows players to fully engage with each segment, relive iconic raids, and experience the storyline in a condensed, accelerated format. The final phase will give players ample time to embrace the chaos of the collapsing timeline and bid farewell to their allies and adventures across Azeroth.
The PTR calendar also hints at a possible release date for Patch 11.2.5 itself. Following the pattern set by previous remixes, the patch may drop roughly a week before the event, potentially arriving September 30, 2025, giving players early access to prepare for Legion Remix.
With this phased schedule, Blizzard is promising an immersive and action-packed return to the Burning Legion era, ensuring both veteran players and newcomers have plenty to explore and conquer over the coming months.
