Undisputed Might Wipe Player Stats with Upcoming Championship Edition Update

The developers behind Undisputed, Steel City Interactive, are reportedly considering a full reset of player statistics and records with the release of the upcoming Championship Edition, scheduled to arrive on October 21. This potential stat wipe has stirred up major discussion within the community, as fans have long requested a complete reset due to lingering gameplay issues and performance inconsistencies that have persisted since launch.

Earlier this week, Steel City Interactive posted an open poll across their social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, and Discord, asking players if they would support a complete wipe of their Undisputed profiles and stats. The poll quickly gained traction, collecting over 1,300 votes on Twitter alone within the first day. The developers noted, however, that the change would only be confirmed if the poll reaches 5,000 combined votes across all platforms.

Interestingly, early results show that the vast majority of fans—around 80%—are in favor of the reset. Many argue that this would give everyone an equal opportunity to start fresh, especially as new updates and balance patches continue to alter gameplay mechanics. If the vote threshold is reached, the reset will likely be rolled out alongside the Championship Edition update on October 21, coinciding with the release of a new DLC pack.

The Championship Edition was officially announced earlier this year and will include four DLC packs, featuring new fighters and additional content. Notably, all players will receive a modern Terence Crawford fighter model, regardless of edition. While three DLC packs have already been revealed and are currently available for purchase, Steel City Interactive has decided to keep details about the fourth DLC under wraps until the October release.

However, the announcement hasn’t been without controversy. Many in the Undisputed community have voiced frustration, accusing the developers of prioritizing paid content over addressing long-standing gameplay issues. Some even labeled the move as “cash-grabbing,” expressing disappointment that the base game’s core problems remain unresolved.

Despite the criticism, others view the Championship Edition as a chance for redemption. If the reset and new content deliver a smoother, more balanced experience, Undisputed could finally regain the trust of its player base and reestablish itself as a leading boxing simulation title.
