Marvel Rivals is gearing up for a fresh update scheduled to roll out on July 31, 2025, bringing exciting new content and important fixes—all without any planned server downtime. Fans can look forward to seamless gameplay once the patch is live, with just a quick client restart needed to dive back into the action.
The update arrives just ahead of a major mid-season event set for August 8, which will introduce Blade to the ever-growing lineup of heroes in this popular Marvel-themed shooter developed by NetEase Games.
Smarter Bots in Quick Play Raise Eyebrows
Recently, players noticed a subtle but notable change to the behavior of bots in Quick Play. These AI opponents now exhibit more lifelike actions—patrolling lobbies, interacting with teammates through sprays, and even using the ping system. While some enjoy this added realism, others have expressed a wish to see bots removed entirely outside of dedicated Practice VS. AI modes.
New Skins for Black Panther and Magik Arrive July 31
One of the highlights of the upcoming patch is the arrival of two striking new skins: Phoenix Panther for Black Panther and Phoenix Demon for Magik. The former features T’Challa clad in radiant golden armor crowned with fiery accents, while Magik’s skin shows her in sleek black leather emblazoned with a blazing phoenix on her chest.
