Marvel Rivals is celebrating Halloween in style with a new limited-time event titled “Voyage to Astonish.” This festive in-game event launches alongside the highly anticipated PvE Zombies mode, introducing exciting challenges, collectible rewards, and an exclusive free Blade skin for players who take part. Fans of NetEase’s fast-growing hero shooter can now enjoy new gameplay and cosmetics that blend Marvel’s supernatural lore with Halloween flair — but they’ll have to act fast, as the event is only available for a short time.
Marvel Rivals has been steadily expanding since its launch, and the new Zombies mode marks the game’s biggest update yet. This four-player co-op experience pits heroes like Magik, Thor, The Punisher, Blade, and Jeff the Land Shark against endless waves of undead enemies. Players will face iconic foes from the Marvel Zombies universe, including Zombie Namor and The Queen of the Dead, in intense survival-based missions filled with spooky seasonal energy.
How to Earn the Free Blade Knight Skin
The new Voyage to Astonish event functions as a Halloween-themed reward board. Players earn and spend “candy” — a temporary in-game currency — to move across tiles, completing missions and unlocking rewards along the way. The biggest prize is the Blade Knight costume, inspired by the hero’s animated look from Marvel Zombies. Unlocking this costume also grants players a matching nameplate, emoji, spray, and MVP animation, creating a full themed set.
In addition to Blade’s rewards, players can earn various seasonal cosmetics, bundles, and emotes — including the Pumpkin Curse emote, which can be claimed for free by all heroes between October 24 and November 1. For those seeking even more, the Premium Track can be unlocked for 690 Lattice, Marvel Rivals’ premium currency. This offers access to bonus rewards like the Floral Frights skin for Peni Parker, exclusive emojis, MVP animations, and color variations.
Cross-Progression Early Access Launches
Alongside the Halloween festivities, NetEase Games is introducing Early Access for cross-progression, one of the most requested features by the community. During the test phase, only a select number of players will be invited to participate by filling out an application form. Once fully implemented, this feature will allow players to sync progress across platforms seamlessly, ensuring they keep all their unlocks and cosmetics no matter where they play.
