Marvel Rivals Rolls Out Bug Fixes and Store Updates in August 14 Patch

NetEase Games has released the August 14 update for Marvel Rivals, bringing targeted bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements across all platforms. Following the larger 3.5 update earlier this month—which introduced new characters, balance changes, and matchmaking adjustments—this latest patch focuses on smoothing out issues affecting gameplay, particularly with Hulk and Hela.

The 3.5 update, which launched on August 8, added the vampire hunter Blade as a playable character, along with extensive tweaks to abilities and matchmaking rules. While fans welcomed the new content, some competitive players expressed frustration over restrictions in squad sizes for higher-ranked tiers. The August 14 patch does not alter these matchmaking rules but instead prioritizes resolving glitches that impacted character performance and visuals.

Bug Fixes and Gameplay Improvements
Among the key fixes, Hulk’s Incredible Leap no longer unintentionally knocks down targets protected by shields like Magneto’s Metal Bulwark or Hulk’s own Gamma Shield. Meanwhile, Hela’s Hel Tendrils Team-Up ability has been corrected to prevent visual inconsistencies, and her Queen in Black ultimate now displays the proper cape color. Additional adjustments address terrain bugs that could cause characters to become stuck or clip into unintended areas.

Controller users also benefit from improved stability. Issues with Hulk’s ability bar buttons swapping positions and camera angle glitches after respawning have been resolved. On Xbox Series S, Dynamic Sprays now appear correctly without blurriness. Several other minor fixes were implemented to enhance hero keybind management, career mode access, and general map interactions.

In addition to bug fixes, the update prepares several new bundles for release on August 15, including:
