A recent leak has sparked excitement among Elden Ring fans, suggesting that the Nightreign expansion could soon receive a brand-new gameplay mode. According to datamined files discovered by Reddit users, a ranked endless dungeon mode titled "Deep of Night" may be on the way.

Deep of Night appears to be designed for the Expeditions menu and introduces five escalating "Depths," where players face increasingly tough challenges as they climb in rank. The rumored thresholds for progression are 1,000, 2,000, 4,000, and 6,000 rating points. Matchmaking is said to pair players based on their current rating, ensuring a balanced co-op experience. Players reportedly can't lose rank once they've reached a new Depth level, keeping progression forward-focused.

What's particularly exciting about this potential mode is its unique rewards and mechanics. Deep of Night may increase the number of relic slots a player can use — from the standard three to a total of six — but only during a Deep of Night run. Leaked details also hint at new weapons that carry both buffs and debuffs, introducing more strategy into combat. Enemies and bosses in this mode may feature visual changes, such as magma-infused appearances, setting them apart from their base-game versions.

This isn't the first time dataminers have revealed credible information about Elden Ring Nightreign. Shortly after launch, the max level cap and stat scaling were accurately leaked. While these new details about Deep of Night are still unconfirmed, the consistency of past leaks gives this rumor more weight.

Elden Ring Nightreign launched on May 30, drawing over 300,000 concurrent players on its first day. Although peak numbers have dipped since, developer FromSoftware has been keeping players engaged through content updates like Duo Mode. If the Deep of Night mode is real, it could bring a much-needed second wave of interest and replayability to the expansion.

Whether or not the leak holds true, it's clear that Elden Ring Nightreign still has a lot of potential left to uncover — and fans will be watching closely for any official confirmation.
