HoYoverse is preparing to launch one of the biggest Genshin Impact updates of the year as Version 6.0 officially arrives, and with it comes a brand-new lineup of seven weapons. The Nod-Krai expansion, which marks the first step into the long-anticipated Snezhnaya cycle, is introducing a five-star catalyst, a collection of craftable four-star weapons, and an event-exclusive weapon. These new additions promise to significantly impact gameplay by enhancing Elemental Mastery and supporting the newly revealed "Lunar" Elemental Reactions.

Seven Weapons Debuting in Version 6.0

The highlight of this weapon set is Nightweaver's Looking Glass, a five-star catalyst that boosts Elemental Mastery and provides additional power when triggering Hydro or Dendro-based abilities. This catalyst synergizes directly with the new Lunar-Bloom Reaction, offering unique buffs to both the user and party members.

Alongside this, players will gain access to five new craftable weapons, each tailored to Nod-Krai’s elemental mechanics:

  • Serenity’s Call (Four-star Sword): Boosts HP after triggering Elemental Reactions.

  • Blackmarrow Lantern (Four-star Catalyst): Specializes in Bloom and Lunar-Bloom damage.

  • Snare Hook (Four-star Bow): Increases Elemental Mastery after Reactions.

  • Master Key (Four-star Claymore): Grants stacking Elemental Mastery buffs.

  • Prospector’s Shovel (Four-star Polearm): Focuses on Electro-Charged and Lunar-Charged DMG.

Additionally, players will have the chance to earn the event-exclusive Etherlight Spindlelute, another catalyst that dramatically boosts Elemental Mastery after using an Elemental Skill. This weapon will be available through the limited-time “Clink Clank Clash” event.

Focus on Lunar Reactions

A major theme of this weapon update is synergy with the new Lunar Reactions, introduced with the Nod-Krai region. First teased in Version 5.8, these reactions expand on existing elemental mechanics, with Lunar-Charged and Lunar-Bloom offering powerful new combinations. Lauma, the newly revealed five-star character of Version 6.0, is expected to showcase these reactions prominently, reinforcing the importance of Elemental Mastery-based weapon builds.

More Than Just Weapons

Weapons aren’t the only exciting additions in Version 6.0. HoYoverse is also refreshing the game’s Battle Pass, adding new rewards like regional specialties and rare upgrade materials. Players can also look forward to Miliastra Wonderland, a groundbreaking permanent user-generated content mode that will allow fans to craft and share their own gameplay experiences for the first time.

Release Date and Expectations

Version 6.0 is set to launch on September 10, bringing Nod-Krai to life and opening the door to Snezhnaya. With a suite of new weapons, fresh characters, and brand-new mechanics, this update looks poised to reshape both the casual and competitive experience in Genshin Impact.

Fans of the game will have no shortage of content to explore, and the new weapon lineup—particularly Nightweaver’s Looking Glass—could prove to be a defining factor in upcoming team builds and meta strategies.
