Capcom has officially launched Title Update 3 for Monster Hunter Wilds, delivering a massive wave of new content, seasonal events, and critical fixes. The highlight of this patch is an ambitious crossover event with Final Fantasy 14, where hunters will face off against the fearsome Omega Planetes, one of the Final Fantasy franchise’s most iconic robotic bosses.

This isn’t the first time the two franchises have joined forces—back in Monster Hunter World, a similar collaboration took place during FF14’s Stormblood expansion. This time around, the stakes are higher, as the new quest pits players against Omega Planetes with mechanics inspired by Final Fantasy’s Dark Knight and Pictomancer jobs. To unlock the fight, players will need to reach Hunter Rank 41 or above, with an extreme 9★ version of the quest available once they hit HR 100.

Alongside the crossover, Capcom has launched the Dreamspell Festival, a Halloween-inspired seasonal event running from October 22 to November 12, 2025. During the festival, the Grand Hub will be decked out with spooky decorations, themed music, and special limited-time activities such as Barrel Bowling. Players can also look forward to unique gear, stickers, gestures, and event-exclusive rewards.

But that’s not all—Title Update 3 introduces a host of balance changes and bug fixes. Notably, improvements have been made to the Lagiacrus battle, addressing complaints about its overly aggressive counterattacks and repetitive looped actions. Other monsters, such as Blangonga and Arch-tempered Nu Udra, have been added in special event quests, expanding the late-game roster.

The Support Hunter system also gets an update, with a new ally named Kai, a hunting horn specialist, now available to join quests after completing the “A Hunter’s Pride” mission. On top of that, adjustments have been made to hunter skills, weapons like the Great Sword, Dual Blades, Switch Axe, and Charge Blade, ensuring smoother combat performance.

From a technical standpoint, players should note that the update is hefty: 4–5GB on consoles and up to 8GB on PC with high-resolution textures enabled. Additionally, Capcom confirmed that this is the final update with official support for Windows 10. Starting October 14, only Windows 11 and consoles will be guaranteed compatibility.

The Final Fantasy 14 side of the collaboration begins on October 7 with Patch 7.35, ensuring that both communities will be busy this fall. With crossover quests, seasonal festivities, new monsters, and gameplay improvements, Title Update 3 offers one of the most content-packed updates Monster Hunter Wilds has seen yet.

Capcom’s consistent post-launch support highlights its commitment to keeping Monster Hunter Wilds fresh, challenging, and rewarding for its dedicated fan base. With so much packed into this update, both Monster Hunter veterans and newcomers will have plenty of reasons to dive back into the hunt.
